Acupuncture
Health is more than the absence of illness. Health is the presence of energy joy and relaxation.
Acupuncture is based on Traditional Chinese Medical Theories; it involves inserting sterile, painless, disposable needles into specific points along
the body’s meridians. These meridians cover the whole body and are also connected to all the internal organs. The needles are manipulated to
balance the body’s energy healing disease and improving health. This specific vital energy is called Qi (chee). Qi needs to flow unfettered through
the body for us to be in good health. If the circulation is blocked, pain, illness and disease are the results. Try acupuncture as an alternative
when standard medical treatments fail to show results or as a complementary therapy alongside traditional therapies to speed healing and
improve results. It is a very natural therapy, effective for many conditions: headaches/migraines, body pain, insomnia, digestion, elimination,
fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, arthritis, asthma and depression. After the treatment, most clients experience increased range of flexibility,
a deep calm and a great feeling of relaxation.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CranioSacral is a gentle, non-evasive, hands-on method of evaluating and treating the body system called the craniosacral system. The system is
comprised of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than
5 grams or about the weight of a nickel, CranioSacral Therapy monitors a rhythmic pulse in the body. Restrictions in the craniosacral system are located
and the body is assisted in releasing the restrictions relieving undue pressure on the brain and spinal cord. By complementing the body's natural healing
processes, CranioSacral Therapy is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for
a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. CranioSacral Therapy was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician
John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University , where he served as a clinical researcher
and Professor of Biomechanics.
